Growing So Fast

Darian: She has been working hard on her potty training and loves running to the bathroom to hurry and get on the potty. She goes about 1/2 her times on there and then at other times doesn't care to let us know. The funny part about it is when she is sitting on the toilet and we ask her do you have to go 'poopy' or 'peepee' and she's already done for that time her response is 'poopy empty'. The first couple of times she said I about fell over laughing. We have no idea where she got it from but... it's hilarious. She is up to 30 lbs. and growing so tall already 38 1/2 inches. She is also becoming so familiar with recognizing different things and characters. Anytime Tinkerbell comes on she gets so excited and exclaimes 'binkerbell'. The same thing goes for 'spiderman' and so many others. Her vocabulary multiplies daily and so does her personality. She goes up to every little girl in the store and tries to talk to them and hold their hand and every guy over 12 she thinks is cute runs up to give them a hug. Kind of scary but... I don't want to instill fear in her at such a young age, she will have enough of that to deal with as she gets older. For now I want to keep her innocent and trusting - just makes Me be extra cautious.

Devyn: Almost 15lbs. and 24 inches. Less than the 10th percentile. She was short to begin with so... she has some catching up to do. She took her first 2 steps the other day and has been increasing that daily. Last night she took 8 at one time and then fell. It looks so funny to see her standing and being so short. She also stands up on her own. Her legs are so strong that she stands up from a squatting position for quite long periods of time. She is about 2 months ahead of Darian timeline. I think a big part of it has to do with Darian standing her up saying 'look, look, Devyn standing by herself'. (as she was holding her hands to give her balance). She's doing really well on her solid foods and loves her cheerios and is a very good sleeper. We've been pretty consistent with bedtime around 11ish and they both sleep with about 9 or so. They both wake up in such good moods and happy ready for the day. Quite fun to have around. More pictures to come... just wanted to make sure I got updates on here because I have been lacking in that department.
