This weather has been highly anticipated. We love the spring and finally able to get outside and enjoy the warm sun and cool breeze. We snuck out for a little while in the front yard while Devyn was taking her nap so we wouldn't wake her. My little man seemed to really like the grass and feeling it & in full boy style stuck a handful of dirt in his mouth a whole 2 seconds later.

I moved him onto the blanket with me but he kept grabbing my camera strap while I was trying to take pictures so I got quite a few close up shots of his face.

Meanwhile, Darian, in all her 5 year old glory has completely transformed into a girl. Cartwheels are a daily activity, as well as jumping rope, writing her name, looking at letters and trying to spell things out. She's getting very consistent with the 'yes mom' or 'can I help with that mom?' She has also been working on her negotiation skills but learning when it's ok to use it or not, which has cut down on a lot of long discussions and reasoning. She goes in for her 5 yr. old physical next week. And she can't wait to lose her first tooth.

Poor little Darius, the girls are sometimes so rough with him when trying to hold him or move him or help him walk and we say to ourselves 'he is going to be so tough by the time he gets a little older' but then on the other hand he is surrounded by nonstop GIRL! His daily routine consist of listening to 'Daily devotions for Girls', some princess or Shirley Temple movie throughout the day, watching his sisters dance and dress up, playing with all kinds of 'Pink' toys, or a tea party, then read a princess story with the girls before bed. I hope that we are giving him a good balance of being tough but with a sensitive side. I will claim that I am grooming the ideal man! :)
