Happy Thanksgiving

So far, so good. Yesterday Derron took off work early because it was a pretty slow day so we took the girls on a date to go see the new Tangled disney movie. It was a pretty cute little movie and we got some good quality time with the girls since their little brother came along. After the movie we came home and baked some cranberry bread. As they snitched the bowl I read about the first Thanksgiving. I'm sure they didn't hear too much of it as they were concentrating very intensly on getting every last bit of batter out of the bowl but... worth a try. Then we made little pilgrim hats (the best part was the no baking required). After those I was wiped out. DJ wanted to be held the entire time so I strapped on the little carrier to my belly and he stayed there completely content the entire time.

We've been talking a lot about different things that we can do for our own little family traditions since the Holidays are usually jam packed with trying to catch everyone so we woke up this morning and I made Gingerbread pancakes with White Chocolate chips in them and a little eggnog and some eggs and some fruit. Luckily the girls like their eggs and fruit otherwise it would have been better to get them McD's for breakfast. They also colored cards for daddy and gave them to him and 'thanked him for being the very best daddy in the world and working so hard for our family and for marrying mommy.'
One of the downfalls of having 2 older sisters... I accidentally put on a sleeper that I thought was completely gender neutral by the color turned out to have ruffles on his sleeves. oops!

Pretty much the favorite at cousin Brenda's house is the PAC-MAN arcade game that the girls play for quite awhile when they get the chance.

My attempt at a hopeful annual family Thanksgiving picture... long day and kids revved up on sugar made... let me just say Derron thought he was smiling. :)

Exactly 1 year ago... how quickly things change. We added a whole other person!
