Happy Birthday Devyn

Tuesday was a visit to the Dr.'s, she weighed in at 37lbs. (10th%) & 43 inches tall (50%). Wednesday both the girls went and visited their dentist & good reports on both. NO CAVITIES - whoo hoo. And I cannot believe that we celebrated Devyn's 4th birthday today. How fast have the past few years gone. We went to Toys R Us the night before her birthday to let her finish her list... really to see what size bike she needed. When we walked in they gave her the birthday crown & balloon and announced over the loudspeaker that it was her birthday, o boy did that put a smile on her face. I put her to bed that night telling her about the day of her birth and how she entered the world, they love hearing their own story. She woke up to streamers all throughout the playroom & kitchen and was really kind of bummed thinking that was her birthday present. She called it her celebration all day and kept telling Darian 'Darian, don't touch my celebration'. We had the traditional strawberry pancakes w/whip cream & trying to be extra cool, we've added a shot of whip cream in the mouth. :) I like that part too. She got to pick out a movie to watch, we did an art project and as we were getting ready to go to the park daddy came home from work with her birthday present. She ran out to the front lawn to find her NEW TINKERBELL BIKE. She was SO excited. She rode around the house & outside for awhile, got dressed for soccer and got to ride her bike All the way to soccer practice at our church. Luckily it's only 3 blocks away. We had cupcakes at soccer with all her soccer buddies, went and got dinner and picked out her birthday cake. Grammy & papa came over to give her their present, have dinner & cake too. She got a NEW TINKERBELL SCOOTER, & Tink Iphone. O she was thrilled, and I think Darian was a little more excited because she could ride one when Devyn was riding another. lol Devyn had a wonderful birthday and felt so special ALL day with phone call after phone call. Darian was feeling quite left out at the end of the day and finally when auntie Tracy called said 'Can I please talk to auntie Tracy cause they all want to talk to Devyn & no one wants to talk to me'. I say it was really good practice for her to focus on someone else since she loves being the center of attention. By the end of the day she had gotten the point that she had her birthday and this was Devyn's.
