Merry Christmas

We went to the Christmas eve service at our church. They didn't have kids church so it was a shorter service but beautiful. They ended it with a candlelight - it turned out gorgeous.Over the past few months presents have been hidden in various locations and pulling them all out and sticking them under the tree really made it seem like they had So many gifts. On top of grandma & grandpa mailing theirs down. Christmas morning the kiddos came into our room first rather than running out to the living room. They wanted to make absolutely sure they didn't go out before Santa had come. They loved everything. Thanks grandma & grandpa for the skateboard, skates and CAT truck and all the other presents. As the presents went on Darius got quite a few of the CAT construction crew. He ended up with enough to build his own town I think.

Darian got a bike also that begged and begged to go riding. The morning after Christmas we went to our church field where they have a huge grass area and she learned how to ride in less than an hour. It was so fun watching her take on such a huge challenge and master it. She took a little time to get the balance part down then worked over and over and over to get the start down. Then all of a sudden she just said ok let me try it and flew all the way across the field to the other side (2 baseball fields wide) then I quickly realized... we hadn't really worked on the brakes. She used them on the bike with training wheels but the fence came rather quickly and CRASH. But WHO CARES... she jumped up and was so excited that she went that far that it didn't even phase her. She rode All the way back too. We are heading over there in a little bit to get some more riding in. So proud of her- she didn't whine or complain that she kept falling or getting hurt, she just kept saying 'I'm going to keep trying and keep trying cause pretty soon I'm gonna learn how to do it!'
