It is absolutely amazing to me how quickly our lives seem to be flying by. The thought months ago that he was going to be 2 years old seemed so far off but that fact remains it came all too quickly. Darius has been such an amazing and fun little guy. He has such fun and animated personality. He loves to make his sisters laugh and has mastered the lower lip quicker pout. He is fearless when a challenge comes like jumping off a huge rock into the pool or jumping off a large piece of furniture. He's working on his vocabulary but hasn't quite gotten the ending sounds down to finish the words. He loves his back scratched and loves wearing his shoes. He loves things neat and put away. He continues to pick up after his sisters and put their things away. He yells out the front window all morning long to anyone that walks or drives by. All in all he's a pretty amazing little dude and I couldn't imagine our family without him. We are so grateful that we have been blessed with him.
I always tell the kiddos the story of their birth the night before their birthday. I did it with Darius and he sat an listened intently to the shortened version of course but all the same was very interested. We woke up and had our traditional strawberry pancakes with whip cream.
He got a package in the mail from his auntie Megan who found a Tebow Bronco jersey, he loved it and wore it the entire afternoon until cake.
He is such a little boy and loves his cars. His morning present was a little area rug / mat that was a little town with roads for him to drive his Hotwheels on. He got a few more cars with the rug so daddy and him were checking them out.
That night he got his workbench. He got right to work building stuff and his sisters joined right in.
