Schools back from Summer

 The girls were in their Bible Study Fellowship with these 2 little girls who happen to be their teachers daughters.  They adore each other and were so excited to see them at the 'Popsicle in the park' day for back to school.

 It's been so stinking hot down here the past weeks that the girls just wake up and put their swimsuits on so this was the outfit Devyn wore for her first day of Kindergarten.  I love the freedom of homeschool. :)

They sent Devyn her very own computer this year also, which was unexpected because they said it's typically 1 per household. :)  She was VERY excited to have her own.

The best part about this year is that CAVA has put together a Community Day, which is where they will have the classroom experience 1 day/ week.  So Tuesday's the girls get to go to a classroom from 9-1:30pm with their teacher, Mrs. Torosian and work on their lessons for the day with their classmates.  They will have class, snack time, lunch and plan outings as well as some class parties.  I LOVE IT AND AM SO HAPPY they are doing this!  The only downfall of homeschooling was feeling like the kids might miss out on some fun experiences with a class & friends but to be able to have this with a teacher that they & I love and little friends that they have gotten to know at different field trips last year is going to be great.  The parents are welcome to stay and they provide childcare for younger siblings or you can drop off and go.  It's the BEST of both worlds and we couldn't be more thrilled with the change this year.
