We've been passing colds around the past few weeks and with the weather changing and storms it's made for some cold days and very few trips outside these past few days. Darian in her infinite wisdom just informed me when asking to go to the park 'mom I'm not sick'. I responded 'well why is your nose all runny then?' her answer: 'only my nose is sick, i'm not'.
I have been trying to teach the girls about daily chores - so far they have the idea but executing it is a completely different story. I will clean the rest of the house while they are supposed to put toys in closet, books on shelves and blankets on beds... this makes for quite a long process as they are in there for about 10 seconds at a time and come out to see what I'm doing. Today while I was vacuuming the house they came out about 30x's. After I was done I said 'ok I'm done with the house, how is your room looking?' Darian replied 'it still looks like a pigsty'. It actually wasn't that bad to begin with but it's hard at that age to clean up for SO long - I think 7-8 min. or so.
