Green Thumb Gardeners

Today was such a beautiful day outside that after we had our Sunday late breakfast early lunch we went outside to enjoy the weather... my mistake for just assuming the girls wouldn't get in the mud since it has been so stormy. As we sat out there in our backyard (our landlord came a couple weeks ago and did a bunch of work) we have been inspired to continue on in the backyard making it a place where we can go sit out and let the girls just have fun playing. I've been planting flowers with the girls and we have been thinking of different ways to upgrade for the girls. Our landlord filled in the pond and made a little garden and after he did all that we decided to remove the water fountain and take out the entire pond so we could plant some more grass in the pond area. The girls were more than eager to help clear rocks out of the pond and as Darian would say 'put them in her collection'.
It's going to take some work but it's coming together and the girls are enjoying playing out there. We used our new grill for the first time tonight & fully enjoyed the nice spring weather before the 110 degree Fresno heat hits us. I might need to invest in a good misting system back there this year.
