Christmas 2010

We went back to my old stomping ground this year for Christmas... it has been so much fun taking this girls around to all the secret places we used to go to growing up. The infamous Covington Street.Darian and I took a walk around the neighborhood as Devyn took her nap. Watching her run down the block I had hundreds of times done before. We met up with Auntie Megan and Dominic and went exploring in the hills. Darian flew up the hill and down and then up again.
An updated picture of all the cousins... finally.
The older kids performing 'Away in a Manger' for everyone.
A friend of mine gave me the recipe for making ornaments. I baked 2 batches, brought paint, glitter and ribbon for the craft. It was an excellent way to get all the kids out of the house for awhile before dinner and they all had a blast. Only 1 outfit needed cleaning after. :) I think I will have to think of some kind of tradition for a craft with all the cousins to do because we had so much fun.
2010 Davis Family picture. It has been quite a few years since we have been able to get a picture of the entire family. And i know we have added quite a few since the last one. This should be the update for awhile since no one is expecting... I don't think. :)

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung on the railing with care,

In hopes that Grandma & Grandpa soon would be there...

Darian trying in the nicest way to wake Devyn up to open Christmas presents. She waited about 30 minutes and finally I told her she could go get her. 'Devyn it's Christmas, Devyn we have presents to open, Sissy wake up, Sissy wake up it's Christmas and we have presents... DEVYN wake up it's time to open presents.' I remember doing that to my older sisters, never the younger ones, Devyn loves her sleep!
After our trip to the bay area we headed home Christmas afternoon to see what Santa left under the tree. I had to be pretty sneaky about it after we loaded the kids in the car I quick put everything out so when we got home everything was set. And you can see our miniature tree. Darian excited about her new book to help her learn to read.Both girls recieved Tinkerbell wings and a wand.
Darius got both the girls a set of leg warmers.
Devyn finally got her own sleeping bag. Darian got one almost 2 years ago for when we went out of town and Devyn has been asking for her own... she was very excited to try it out.
The girls got Tinkerbell costumes to play dress up at Grammy & Papas.
Darius liked trying to eat the presents rather than opening them. Give him a year. :)

I know it's too much but I guess that's what happens with 5 grandparents, 7 Aunties, 5 uncles, 7 cousins and a mom who didn't keep track of presents and just kept hiding them in the garage for the past 4 months.
As we look back and reflect on the year we are truly grateful for the blessings that God has given us. Our family, our health, job, his provision has been more than we could ask for but most of all we are so Thankful that He sent His son to earth to die for our sins so that we can have eternal life with HIM!!!
