The Fruit of the Spirit

As the girls get older I am finding myself trying to get more creative to teach them different things. This last week Darian has been really trying to learn how to spell different things and as we drive along calls out all the letters on signs, billboards, buses & stores. She knows the sounds each letter makes but still trying to figure out how to put all the sounds together to make a word but for now absolutely loves reading the letters. Devyn likes trying to copy her! :) This past week reading our Bible we read about the fruit of the Spirit and I was so proud of myself for thinking of this great idea to help them learn it. Taught them the song and then went to Toy's R Us and bought a bag of the plastic kitchen fruit and wrote out the names on each one. The girls have been having a blast learning them and Devyn actually knows the song better than Darian. They sing it ALL DAY LONG - but it makes my heart happy so it doesn't bother me at all. It also helps clear up stinky additudes in any situation if they are grouchy I say 'is that showing good fruit of the spirit' and they get a huge grin on their face to change their additude. :)

I LOVE this! I'm totally stealing your idea. I promise to give you full credit whenever someone asks. :-) Very cute.

Oops. Sorry about the comment from "How To Order." That's my business blog. Something got screwed up in the "name" part, and I didn't realize it--nor did I realize I was signed in for Peanuts & Jelly Beans.
