Happy St. Patty's Day

Well even though it's St. Patty's day everything I had planned to do in honor of it I didn't get to... Forgot about the green eggs, they got regular, have 7 different Irish / St. Patty's day ribbon to make some super cute hair bows) forgot about doing those, bought cupcake wrappers and clovers to make cupcakes for Derron's work (he's been sick the past 2 days so didn't deliver cupcakes to his coworkers without him there). So all in all we didn't get to any of it but it hasn't been about St. Patty's day, it's all been about the day before Darian's birthday. She is SO excited that tomorrow is the big day - she's been counting down ALL day, week, month, 2011... but today also marks Darius being 7 months old. I cannot believe how quickly 7 months have gone. He is The happiest baby and makes everyone around him feel special because he smiles at EVERYONE. I love taking him on errands with me so he can entertain people in the stores. At his 7 month mark he is closing in on 20lbs. (if not there already), he has completely mastered sitting up, pulling himself up on different objects to stand and has been starting to try letting go. I am so not ready for him to be mobile. He loves rolling over front to back and back to front again and is quite quick at it. He has quite a significant reach to grab anything that is in his vicinity. He wakes up in such a happy mood every morning and practicing his sounds. It's like he goes to sleep the night before and as he sleeps his brain thinks of a new sound and as soon as he opens his eyes it's starts coming out. On Tuesday he started with 'dada' and the Sunday before was the clicking of his tongue. He's such a little character and has the most contagious little giggle. He's super ticklish under his arms and tummy and loves his toes being eaten. His favorite to play is peek-a-boo and can give some contagious belly laughs for a good 20 minutes or so. Needless to say I probably didn't get to any of the St. Patty's day stuff because I was too busy playing and getting open mouthed kisses or raspberries on my arms or legs.
